Problems of Intel and AMD (PRE-2008)

Problems of Intel (pre-2008)
1. Slot 1 Design (heat problem)
2. RD-RAM (high cost memory that not viable)
3. P3 Celeron Processor (slower than AMD duron counterpart)
4. Earlier Intel Integrated Graphic P3 period (slower performance)
5. Intel Pentium 166 MMX Bug.
6. too fast moving to support the DRR3 memory.
7. etc..

Problem of AMD (pre-2008)
1. Technology follower of Intel (in term of mainboard chipset)
2. Process follower of Intel (in term of manufacturing processes)
3. lack of capital (buying of ATI)
4. Marketing problems (more vendors still prefer Intel), cannot take up the market share massively while the previous Athlon and Athlon XP processor is leading over Intel, and also during the launch of the Athlon 64 processor)
5. heat problem (older Athlon Processor)
6. change of the socket A to socket 754 causing many people hard to upgrade from the older socket A platform and go for Intel System.
7. Slower in processor performance against... cant compete with the Core 2 duo processor and Core 2 quad processor even with the launch of the AMD K10 barcelona processors series.
8. etc..
