System Configurator year 2008, H2

For more system builder, I will recommend

For Budget Performance System,
1. AMD Dual Core Processor with 2 x 1Mb cache.
2. AMD 790FX or GX chipset.
3. 2.0Gb Dual Channel Memory mininum (go for 4.Gb Dual Channel at least since DDR2 is damp cheap now...
4. Go for 750Gb Storage since hard disk is damp cheap now..
5. At least 500 Watts of Power Supply unit.
6. ASUS/ LITE-ON DVD-RW.
7. Go for 22" Samsung Wide screen LCD, or at least a 20" Samsung Wide Screen LCD. Higher response time 2ms and higher contrast ratio is recommended.

Computer Technology 2008 (to buy now and buy later)

There are so many PROs that I suggest you people for not spending too much money to invest to buy a computer now (year 2008)

What benefits that you will enjoy if you are going to invest to buy a next new generation of PC system after the year 2010.

1. HAMR or SSD hard disk price will be dropped dramatically after the year 2010.
2. LCD monitor with high contrast ratio with be rolled out after the year 2010, but unfortunately i think not much price drop for the new OLED monitor.
3. LCD monitor and VGA card in the future is using the DISPLAY PORT connector in the future... which it is more superior as compared to the HDMI connectors in term of transfer rate.. In the other words, DISPLAY PORT is our future VGA connector.
4. If you buy now (year 2008), you will missing the direct X 11 or even direct X 12 technology...

In the next post, I will posting the "System configurator for the year 2008"
If you insist want to buy a computer system now..

Sysbian OS or Windows PDA phone, or Asus EEE PC..

According to the ideas from most of my friends, the Symbian OS is still more powerful than Windows Mobile 6.1.

For my personal opinion, Windows Mobile after the 2010 time frame will eventually replace the Symbian OS to become the most powerful PDA OS..

Problems of Intel and AMD (PRE-2008)

Problems of Intel (pre-2008)
1. Slot 1 Design (heat problem)
2. RD-RAM (high cost memory that not viable)
3. P3 Celeron Processor (slower than AMD duron counterpart)
4. Earlier Intel Integrated Graphic P3 period (slower performance)
5. Intel Pentium 166 MMX Bug.
6. too fast moving to support the DRR3 memory.
7. etc..

Problem of AMD (pre-2008)
1. Technology follower of Intel (in term of mainboard chipset)
2. Process follower of Intel (in term of manufacturing processes)
3. lack of capital (buying of ATI)
4. Marketing problems (more vendors still prefer Intel), cannot take up the market share massively while the previous Athlon and Athlon XP processor is leading over Intel, and also during the launch of the Athlon 64 processor)
5. heat problem (older Athlon Processor)
6. change of the socket A to socket 754 causing many people hard to upgrade from the older socket A platform and go for Intel System.
7. Slower in processor performance against... cant compete with the Core 2 duo processor and Core 2 quad processor even with the launch of the AMD K10 barcelona processors series.
8. etc..
